Solid timber vanities and vanity units

We answer your solid timber questions, and why going for a solid timber vanity unit is the most gorgeous and luxe option.

Why choose solid timber?

Popular renovation TV show, The Block, recently featured a beautiful solid timber vanity in one of their renovations. The Block is right on point for current styling and high quality solid timber vanities are becoming very popular across a range of bathroom styles. In your new private sanctuary, or just in your ensuite or family bathroom, the bathroom vanity is a centrepiece. Solid timber vanities provide a serious design statement and, from a functional perspective, they are critical for providing storage and a place to shave and do your makeup. You can choose from a range of timber species that can gently integrate with your bathroom or stand out as a stunning feature.

Is the finish important?

You bet! Timber can be finished in many different ways including wax, shellac, lacquers, varnishes, oils... And the list goes on. Timber that will be in a wet area must be treated with a finish that will form an effective barrier and keep excess moisture out of the timber. All solid timber vanities at Bathroomware House are fully sealed with 30% satin premium 2 PAK polyurethane. In addition, each vanity is lovingly handcrafted by mastercraftsmen in Australia and fully customised prior to finishing. This means all the tap and waste holes etc are fully protected by the polyurethane.

What are the choices?

Bathroomware House has a choice of premium solid timber bathroom vanities to choose from, each created to order in Australia and available in different sizes and profiles. Have a look at our Eureka, which comes in a range of sizes and configurations and can have drawer fronts in white lustre or select or feature grade timber. Another option is our Kakadu, with it's stunning and unique retro design including rounded corner doors and drawers.

Our solid timber vanity units are designed specifically for above counter basins, which can also be purchased from Bathroomware House. In addition, we have a massive range of tapware and mixers, in many styles and finishes, to complete your design statement. All doors and drawers on our solid timber vanites are push to open and soft close, using quality Blum hardware and concealed track systems as standard.

The timber vanities on this site are shown in standard timbers, but are also available in many species including American Oak, Jarrah, Tasmanian Blackwood, New Guinea Rosewood, Tasmanian Oak, Spotted Gum or, for that stunningly special feature, Wormy Chestnut. Just ask your nearest showroom for a quote on a fully customised unit just for you!
