Showers FAQ

How many litres per minute is the shower?

All showers have a WELS (Water Efficiency Labeling and Standards) Scheme rating and this is reflected in store and in product pages on bathroomwarehouse.com.au. Each shower on the bathroomwarehouse.com.au website has the WELS information in the description and a WELS star rating on the product page. Each WELS label in store has the rate of water consumption (litres per minute) in the middle of the label.

I am planning on tiling my shower, are the screens that Bathroomware House stocks suitable for tiled showers?

Most standard and custom shower screens Bathroomware House sells are suitable for tiled showers. However, standard screens are sold on a supply only basis, where the customer accepts full responsibility for the measurements and installation of the screen. Bathroomware House strongly recommends professional measuring and installation.

If you decide to purchase a custom screen, a check measure and installation are included in the price. Please see "More info on shower screens" for more detailed information.

What is the most water saving shower head I can use?

All showers have a WELS (Water Efficiency Labeling and Standards) Scheme rating and this is reflected in store and in product pages on bathroomwarehouse.com.au. Understanding the star rating is easy - the more stars, the more water efficient the product is.

You can review the ratings for all approved tapware on www.waterrating.gov.au

I prefer to have a shower with a lot of water. Is it still possible to buy a shower rose that has a lot of water or are all showers water savers?

All showers have a WELS (Water Efficiency Labeling and Standards) Scheme rating and this is reflected in store and in product pages on bathroomwarehouse.com.au. If you want a shower that has a higher flow rate, simply look for less (say, 3) stars.

Also note, many quality showers have spray control systems that will give the impression of a higher flow while still being water efficient.

Do I need a shower diverter for my twin shower set

Not unless you're using it to divert water to another outlet, like a bath spout. All our twin showers have a built in diverter so you can direct water to either the overhead shower or the hand shower.
